Promoting Academic Excellence
in Gulf County, Florida, since 1996

The Education Foundation of Gulf County, Inc. (EFGC) provides funding for innovative and effective learning initiatives that enrich and improve student achievement for pre-kindergarten through 12th grade public school instruction in Gulf County, Florida.  With the help of donations, from individuals, businesses, corporations and foundations, we provide funding for educational programs, events, field trips, technology, books, and much more.

Hurricane Michael struck the Florida panhandle on October 10, 2018.  Gulf District Schools were closed following the storm and continue to support recovery efforts in the community. The Education Foundation of Gulf County is actively working to support rebuilding and restoration of Gulf County classrooms. Our high schools experienced roof damage, water damage, and loss of classroom and library materials. Many faculty and staff lost their homes and continue to be displaced. Students are in need of coats, hoodies, shoes, undergarments, and school supplies. Drives are underway to meet the needs of students and staff. If you are interested in supporting the recovery in Gulf County, please contact the foundation directly!
